The Rented Home

A house is made of walls and beams, but a home is made of love and dreams.

Storage Made Pretty

With any home there are pros and cons…

“We love the view but there is no parking”, It is small but close to work,

“The kitchen is an eyesore, but the home fits my budget”… etc.

The list could go on, but one con is all to familiar – “not enough storage”

Creating your own storage to fit your needs is an easy solution besides de-cluttering, but we will leave that for another day.

Finding storage solutions does not need to be expensive. Visit a garage sale, antique market or local thrift stores to find the extra storage you need. Just remember always measure the space you would like to create extra storage so that you do not buy something to big or too small. Also, think about what you need the extra storage for, kitchen items, clothing, crafts, etc. If you do find something you fall in love with and you think it might not be the right size you can usually make it work by changing the location you thought you would place your new storage piece or maybe use it for something else.

Embracing an open storage piece is a great way to display your items and could free up some space for items you would like to hide.

Here are some great ideas to get you inspired about and open storage solution:

I hope you found some inspiration with creating more storage space with open storage solutions.

Best wishes,
